About United Energy
Our Leaders

For the first ten years Red Roberts led United Energy Distributors as the company president, but the new three-member senior management team is in place to lead the company into the future. In this new organization, Roberts will remain in the office of President while Harper will serve as the Chief Executive Officer and Coscioni as the Chief Financial Officer. These new members bring to the company many years of management experience–Harper from the oil industry and Coscioni from the business/financial community.

These three talented managers will provide the leadership United Energy needs to make their vision a reality.

Red Roberts
Prior to 1995, Roberts served as vice president of Allstate Petroleum where he was responsible for wholesale, commercial, and retail sales in Georgia and South Carolina. Roberts was born in Aiken and attended both the University of South Carolina at Aiken and Aiken Technical College. He currently serves on the University of South Carolina Partnership Board and is a member of the ConocoPhillips National Advisory Council. He holds interests in Four Seasons Food Stores and HBR Investments & Karing Partnerships.

He was named to that position in 2002 after serving as vice president, Phillips Petroleum Company, with responsibility for dealer and marketer activities for Phillips’ refining, marketing and transportation organization.

He began his career with BP Oil Company and held various retail marketing and real estate & market development roles. Tosco Corporation acquired BP’s northwest refining and marketing operations in 1994 and by 1996 Harper had been named vice president of market development, and eventually became executive vice president of branded retail for Tosco Marketing Company. When Philips Petroleum Company acquired Tosco, Harper was named vice president of Phillips Petroleum.
